Today is March 8, happy international women’s day from UpSens to all women! International Women’s Day is a particularly important celebration. It reminds us of the importance of equal opportunities, equality and respect for diversity. These are values which are written into UpSens’ DNA and which guide us constantly in our work. Not just in how we do things but also in what we do.
Half of the UpSens team is female, including the CEO Ketty Paller. In this company, we consider people to be an asset and we do everything we can to promote a proper work/life balance. For us, being a mother (or a father) is a priceless gift, not a hindrance to your career. And equal opportunities are a reality. Of course, as with any other company, we have a huge amount of work to do. However, we always do our best to reconcile these two fundamental areas of life.
It is said that no one is an island. In UpSens, we are convinced that nobody can thrive if the people around them are not also doing well. We also strongly believe that the world does not belong to us; we have only borrowed it, with a responsibility to leave it in the best possible condition for our children and grandchildren who come after us. Future generations have the right to enjoy the beauty of this extraordinary planet and its resources as much as we do.
In our opinion, it is a human right to live in a healthy environment. This is the starting point for achieving great things, with your family, at school or at work. This is why we created the UpSens well-being technology. Sensors which allow us to make concrete improvements to our quality of life by monitoring the level of electrosmog and the healthiness of the air in indoor areas, such as the office where we work or the house where we live with our loved ones. Because we all have the right to understand in detail the features of the areas where we spend the majority of our days and to take steps to improve them. Our well-being and that of our loved ones is at stake.
Historically, the duty to care for the well-being of the family fell squarely on the shoulders of women (and given that today is March 8, let us be frank and admit that this is often still the case). In reality, everyone, man or woman, mother or father, husband or wife, has the duty to make a contribution to the healthiness of their own home or their workplace. Just as it is up to all of us to do everything possible to protect the environment.
Happy International Women’s Day!
